Sheila Marsh BSc MBA (Warwick) PhD (Lancaster) FCIPD
Sheila has spent her career in management, learning, policy development and research, with the last 26 years spent in consulting in the public and not-for-profit sectors. She has focused on
change through leadership and management development strategy and practice, including approaches to achieving quality services, analytical and problem-solving skills, working with diversity/equality
issues, applying ‘whole systems’ methodologies, as well as on facilitation, learning design, evaluation, policy development and research. She works with organisations, partnerships, teams and with
individuals. Recently she has carried out evaluative work for NHS Lambeth, The Ajahma Charitable Trust, Marie Curie Cancer Care and the Centre for Public Scrutiny.
Sheila’s academic work has developed her research and evaluation skills, in a range of qualitative methods especially, including action research. She has run and supervised a number of
research/evaluation projects and is familiar with research ethics governance. Her management skills ensure her work benefits from a capacity to analyse, to draw in quantitative, especially financial,
data and to ensure projects deliver to requirements.
She is a gifted facilitator whose work enables groups from varied backgrounds to contribute freely. Issues of gender, ethnicity, disability and other identities have been a key part of
Sheila’s work since 1980 as a manager, leader, trainer and in consulting work.
